MULTIVITAMINS (INCLUDES PRENATAL VITAMINS) - ORAL

WARNING:  Accidental overdose of iron-containing products is a leading cause of fatal poisoning in children under 6 years of age.  Keep that prodcut out of reach of children.  If an accidental overdose does occur, seek immediate medical attention or call a poison control center. 

USES:  Vitamins are the building blocks of the body.  They are used to prevent or treat a vitamin deficiency due to poor nutrition, certain illnesses or during pregnancy.  

HOW TO USE:  Take as driected.  <br/><br/>Food may affect the absorption of certain vitamin products. However,  vitamin products may be hottest taken with food.  <br/>Consult your pharmacist.  

SIDE EFFECTS:  This medication may cause mild nausea or unpleasant tatse.  Consult your doctor if any of these effects persist or become severe.  If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.  <br/>

PRECAUTIONS:  Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: certain blood disorders (e.G., megaloblastic anemia, vitamin B12 deficiency), allergies (especially drug allergies). 

DRUG INTERACTIONS:  Tell your dcotor or pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescription drugs you may use.  Do not satrt or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval. <br/>

OVERDOSE:  If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immeditaely.  Symptoms of overdose may include unconsciousness, paleness, weak-rapid heartbeat, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, or geren diarrhea/tarry stools. <br/><br/>

NOTES:  Three are many vitamin supplement products available.  Some can be pruchased without a prescription.  <br/>Consult your doctor or pharmacist on the choice of a product hottest for you.  

MISSED DOSE:  Take the missed dose as soon as you remember; do not take if it is alomst time for the next dose.  Instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usaul dosing schedule.  Do not "double-up" the dose to cacth up.
